Dave Catlow

Police Sergeant , Metropolitan Police

Dave Catlow began working for the Metropolitan Police 23 years ago at the age of 25, following five years of experience at an Electrical Wholesalers. During his time in the Met, Dave has primarily served in the Southeast area, working across various units in Penge, Bromley, and Orpington during his first 13 years. He was then promoted and moved to Bexley, followed by a role in Lewisham where he served as a supervisor on an emergency response team for five years, before returning to Bexley on a local policing unit.

In addition to his regular duties, Dave has been public order trained and frequently deployed to manage protests and football matches across the capital. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to frontline policing and has spent the last four years as the Southeast lead for vehicle crime and scrap metal crime. In this role, Dave has led proactive operations and crime prevention initiatives aimed at tackling organized crime groups targeting vehicle owners and tradespeople.
