Robbie Hawkins

Owner, Hawkins Heating Brecon

Robbie Hawkins lives and operates his business from the Brecon Beacons in Mid Wales. With over 22 years of experience in the plumbing and heating industry, Robbie began his journey straight out of school, completing his City and Guilds apprenticeships at levels 2 and 3. By the time he was 20 years old, Robbie had already become self-employed—a bold move at a young age but one he has never regretted.

Robbie has developed a deep passion for the industry throughout his career, embracing its constant evolution with new methods and technologies. He is always eager to learn and unafraid to return to the classroom to stay current. Robbie thrives on new challenges and is open to change, a mindset that has served him well.

Robbie’s dedication and skill have been recognised with several prestigious awards. He was named 'Apprentice of the Year' in his final year of college, won 'Wales Plumber of the Year' in 2018, and became a national finalist in the Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2019 award—achievements of which he is particularly proud.

Robbie takes great pride in his work, whether the job is large or small, and ensures the same attention to detail in everything he does. In his own words, echoing Sir Andy Cam, “I love Plumbing!”
