Tony Steel
Operations Director, Band of BuildersTony has over 40 years of experience in the merchant sector, working with independent and National Builders Merchants at the Director level. He has been involved with the National Construction Industry Charity Band of Builders since 2019, where he looks after the charity on a day-to-day basis.
There are three main themes Band of Builders concentrate on:
- Projects: When anyone in the industry suffers a life-changing injury or illness, they work with a team of volunteers to adapt the property so that the person can lead a more comfortable life.
- Mental Health: They work to reduce the number of suicides in the industry.
- Grants: These are offered to industry people who need small emergency grant support for things like food, white goods, etc.
